Born the son of a Baptist minister in Colorado, David E. Burkholder made his profession of faith in Christ when only six years old. He gave his life to the service of the Master while still in high school, and after graduating from Baptist Bible College in Springfield, Missouri, with a degree in theology, he entered the ministry. He has also received a bachelor's and master's degrees from Baptist Christian University in Shreveport, LA. He pastored in California, Arizona, and Houston, Texas prior to becoming the pastor at Trinity Baptist Church, where he has pastored since 1983. He and his wife, Marsha, recently observed their 36th wedding anniversary. Their son Paul and his wife Lorena have been blessed with two daughters, Madison and Krista.
